Project for Awesome 2016 – Glückskekse

Liebe Leute,

da bin ich wieder zurück!

Nach einer kleinen Pause juckt es mich jetzt wieder richtig in den Fingern, endlich erneut zu schreiben. Und während ich schon immer mal wieder daran gedacht habe, es einfach zu tun  – mir kamen aber immer wieder andere Dinge dazwischen -, gibt es jetzt einen Anlass die Tasten zu drücken: Project for Awesome 2016!

Denn meine Freundinnen Katrin und Britta und ich werden mit einer Nerdfighter Art daran teilnehmen! Wir haben Glückskekse aus Filz mit speziell angefertigten Labels gefertigt und darin Sprüche aus den videoblogs der vlogbrothers versteckt. Es hat ganz viel Spaß gemacht, das alles gemeinsam zu nähen und zu basteln. Und jetzt schicke ich die Hoffnungssäckchen heute in die USA. Bin mal gespannt, wer die so durch Spenden ergattert und wie die Reaktionen sind…

And now some words in English – just in case some readers can’t understand german…

Hi everybody,

I’m back again after a little pause and I’m really looking forward to write again. Although I always thought about doing it earlier it did just not happen. But now I have to announce my participation in a project – a good reason to finally do it!

Two friends of mine (Katrin and Britta) and I applied for a nerdfighter art perk at the Project for Awesome 2016 and we got accepted! And so we had to produce at least 90 fortune cookies („Glückskekse“ in german) in about one week – and we made it! Yesterday, everything got ready (we even made some more…) and today I’m going to send it over to the USA.

The P4A starts at the 9th of December and will end at the 11th of December. You can see it live on youtube (here’s the link: projectforawesome.tumblr.com)!

And above you see some photos: fortune cookies made out of felt with a special label. Each cookie contains some words from John or Hank Green, taken out of a videoblog from the vlogbrothers. The little bag named „hope“ has six fortune cookies in mixed colors in it!
